Who We Are
Founded in 2019 Fergus Race Engineering initially started as just a “brand name” to drape over my racing endeavors. Over the years Fergus Race Engineering has grown to be much more than that.
We have worked with multiple teams across many racing disciplines to help provide parts, race day support and custom data acquisition systems to meet their needs.
Our goal has always been to supply our customers with solutions that work best for them at the best prices. We are continuing to chase this goal as we develop our line of off the shelf solutions to help racers at all levels gain the competitive edge they need.

Bespoke race car construction from the ground up. We design, fabricate, and build purpose-built competition vehicles to your spec and budget.
Structured performance development using data acquisition, simulation, and track testing. We find the tenths that make the difference.
On-event engineering and mechanical support for teams running their own cars. We embed with your programme and cover you trackside.
Sourcing and supply of competition components — our own electronics and looms alongside brand-name parts. We hold stock of common wear items and run trade accounts for teams.

Colour dash display and standalone data logger in one sealed unit. Seven-stage sequential shift light, configurable screens, and SD logging at up to 200 Hz. Runs off a 12 V feed with a single CAN connection — the same unit we run on every car in the programme.

Standalone 7-LED sequential shift light. RPM thresholds set over USB. Bar or steering-boss mount.
FRE-CG-002
Bridges factory ECU CAN to the FRE-1 or a third-party logger. Configurable channel mapping, 1 Mbit/s.

Set of four hall-effect sensors with 60-tooth trigger rings. Corner-coded looms, sealed connectors.

75 mm linear potentiometer for damper travel. Rod-end mounts and calibration sheet included.

FIA 8862-compatible side-mount kit. Laser-cut 3 mm steel, zinc-plated, with fasteners.

In The Workshop
Three in-house engineering projects in active development. Every part we run on a car we build and prove ourselves first.
Data Logger & Display
Colour dash and standalone logger in one sealed unit, now in the hands of paying customers. Current work: an expanded CAN template library and a 200 Hz logging firmware refresh.
Infrared Tyre Sensing
Twelve-zone infrared tyre-surface temperature logger — four MLX90614 sensors per axle through an I²C multiplexer, recorded in sync with GPS and IMU on the FRE-1 data bus.
Active Aero System
Closed-loop active rear wing — a servo-actuated flap with a drag-reduction mode, driven off the FRE-1 data bus using speed, steering angle, and brake-pressure channels.
